Rhonda's Chocolate Mint Squares

Cake Layer:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup real butter
4 eggs ( beaten)
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 (16 oz) can Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

Blend together well and pour into 9x13 greased pyrex.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or till toothpick
comes out clean. COOL COMPLETELY.

Frosting Layer:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup real butter
2 tablespoons milk
2-3 drops mint extract (to taste)
green food coloring

Spread over cooled cake layer.

Glaze for top:
6 ounces chocolate chips
6 tablespoons real butter
Melt together. Cool slightly and then spread over frosting layer.
Chill well before cutting into squares.
